Oklahoma Weekend Events: Friday–Sunday, May 15–17, 2026

Oklahoma’s weekend calendar is packed with festivals, Route 66 culture, live entertainment, and family events across the state.

In Broken Arrow, Rooster Days continues through Sunday at Central Park. The official festival website describes the event as:

“A four-day festival filled with carnival rides, food trucks, an outdoor/indoor vendor marketplace, 5k & 1-mile fun runs, a parade, and more.”

Festival hours include Friday 5–11 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.–11 p.m., and Sunday noon–6 p.m.

As Oklahoma moves closer to the 100th anniversary of Route 66 in 2026, tourism leaders continue highlighting the impact Oklahoma events and Route 66 attractions are having across the state. Oklahoma Lieutenant Governor Matt Pinnell recently said:

“We’re not going to be top 10 in tourism if we’re not promoting one of our greatest assets as a state, and that’s Route 66.”

Pinnell also described Route 66 as:

Tulsa’s arts scene remains active this weekend with Mayfest Road Trip at Mother Road Market. Tulsa Mayfest says the event will feature:

“Local artists inside and outside, local community performers and singer-songwriters, and great local food and drink.”

Downtown Tulsa also hosts the Black Wall Street Rally in the historic Greenwood District this weekend. The City of Tulsa special events calendar lists large crowds expected Friday and Saturday.

In Oklahoma City, “Shucked” continues through Sunday at Civic Center Music Hall. Free Press OKC reported:

Also in OKC, the Calderón Dance Festival takes place Saturday at Myriad Botanical Gardens. Organizers describe it as:

“A festival celebrating the life of Shannon Calderon and her vision for building an accessible community.”
